Dom Rabalais is an artist and musician from Iowa who specializes in painting, ceramics, and performance. Neo-Virginity is a conglomeration of paintings completed in their residence the Marfa Open Art Residency Program in 2021, along with several past and brand new paintings, that are aesthetically bound by their fervent compositions of classical symbols and ethereal objects.

In the artist's words, “I am constantly pummeled by curiosity, perforated by the suspicion that everything is secretly everything. Trying to find what poetry, paintings, dancing, doing geological surveys, listening to Bruce Springsteen, crying while riding my bike, and the triumph between lovers all have in common. I want to make a choreography out of the push and pull between mystery and certainty, of clarity and secrecy.”
